The man who lived Into the Wild

Today I'm going to write about a movie that I like. It is called Into the Wild, and it was directed by Sean Penn. The movie was based on a book (with the same name), which was based on a true story. The film’s premiere was on 2007. The soundtrack was composed by Eddie Vedder. It tells the story of Christopher McCandless, a young American man, who started travelling around the USA after he graduated from the university. Christopher rejected the conventional-material life and wanted to stay away from his parents.

He thought that society was sick, and that man in the city only has access to a false idea of himself. He broke his identification cards and donated his savings to Oxfam. Then he started travelling without telling it to his family.

In the film, Christopher meets many people and work in many places looking for a new life and wanting to go to Alaska, where he thinks he could live “on the wild”. Christopher wanted to start again and to know himself renouncing to the conventional values, which of them he considerate as values of hating and ambition. For that, he creates a new name for himself: Alexander Supertramp.

While Christopher was tripping, he changed and learned so much.

  3. I love this movie! I have to confess that when the movie finish I cried, because I didn’t expect his death! He has to live, he has to forgive his parents and comeback home =( . When I read that it was based in a true history, I even cried more :P … It was so sad. But at the same time, it’s a beautiful drama about life and things that matters. Changes our perspectives of how to live and show us how wrong we are sometimes worrying about material stuff and not valorized the nature and the people we love =) . It’s a movie with a teaching that can transform your life.

I have been told that this movie is wonderful, although I have not seen, but with what you You say I think it definitely worth watching. I only saw the presentation of advertising, because a friend of mine recommended me looking at her, and when I saw, I really touched me because my friend told me that seeing that film had agreed to me, because I felt, like the hero of that movie, had a spirit of adventure:) was nice when my friend dijoporque me at that time I was in a place far from here trying to realize some of my dreams:)

Very interesting what you wrote, reading your blog brought me good memories .. :) Adios.

  5. Hi Camilo!!

I think that movie would be very sad…but very moving too. I love the movies which you finally cry…xD It’s a bit strange but it’s like you feel a catharsis you can feel the feelings from the other person….it’s really beautiful.
It looks a beautiful movie, because the simple life it’s the most wonderful in the world and if he decided goes out of the city, is because sometimes we are so attached to material thinks that we forget the most important; the family, friends or the wonderful nature. Perhaps, our problems have their ground in the hectic life and the love of material things. You mustn’t tell the finally of the movie!!!! That’s unjust, because while I was reading I’m telling to myself “I’ll watch that movie” but when I finished read the text, you had been write the final.

    See you!!
